Brooklyn Bowen

Brooklyn has been part of the dance community for over 30 years, starting her journey at just two years old. She has trained in a variety of styles including Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Lyrical, and more.

She trained at her local studio all the way through her senior year of high school. During that time, Brooklyn was a member of the Dance Company for two years and the Drill Team for all four. In her senior year, she served as Vice President of the Dance Company and Head Drill Mistress of the Drill Team. Brooklyn was selected to be a member of the 2011 All-State Drill Team and competed in the Miss Drill Team Utah competition, where she achieved 2nd runner-up in her category. She continued her dance education at the University of Utah, dancing with a group in their ballet department.

After college, Brooklyn worked for an entertainment and production company. She started as a dancer and eventually became a choreographer for the company, earning recognition for her work on various levels.

Brooklyn began her teaching career at 16, teaching classes at her studio. Additionally, she collaborated with the dance teacher at her school to create a new role called “teaching assistant.” This role allowed her to engage more deeply with teaching, and she fell in love with it. Since then, she has been teaching and choreographing. Brooklyn also spent four amazing years coaching the Drill Team. As a studio owner, Brooklyn is excited to help others find their love of dance, just as she did.

Madeline Chambers

Madeline Chambers began her dance training at age 3. Madeline received her instruction at American Expression of Dance (AED) in Draper, Utah and continued her dance education at the studio until age 18. She is currently a member of the Utah Valley University Dance Team. Prior to joining UVU, she was a member of the Corner Canyon Dance Team all 4 years of high school and served as the President her senior year. She was a member of the 2021-2022 Utah 6A All-State Drill Team and had the opportunity to work for EPIC productions as an assistant for the 2022, 2023 and 2024 summer seasons.

Madeline is trained in a variety of different styles including Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, and Lyrical. She has won multiple awards for her choreography and solo performances. Madeline is enthusiastic to share her love of dance with the next generation of dancers.

Shelbi Burgon

Shelbi found her love for dance when she was only 2 years, and tumbling when she was 6. She began her training at The Dance Factory in Bountiful Utah. She has trained in Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Tumbling, Acro. Shelbi began her teaching career at age 14 when she would assist multiple dance and tumbling classes.         

While attending Bingham High School, she assisted in choreographing for the dance program, and was selected as one of the assistant choreographers for the Oquirrh Mountain Temple celebration. Shelbi continues to train by attending conventions and dance classes throughout the valley, as well as traveling around Utah coaching and choreographing for cheer squads and dance teams. Shelbi was the assistant drill coach for Tooele and West high school soon after graduating high school. 

Shelbi has received multiple high point awards, judges awards and specialty awards for her team and solo choreography. She is certified in CPR, First Aide, and Concussions. “I love teaching and watching the kids faces when they get a trick in tumbling or a concept in dance.”

Emma Van

Emma has been dancing since the age of 3 studying mainly ballet at the Linda Fenton dance studio. Throughout her time there she also trained in jazz and tap but mainly stayed focused with her technique and pointe classes. Over the years, she was able to participate in over 15 Mountain West Ballet productions, including The Nutcracker, Alice in Wonderland, A MidSummers Night Dream and many more. In high school, Emma was able to expand her training as a dancer by joining the Murray High Dance Company. There she was able to learn modern, contemporary, hip hop and even some musical theater. Although she loved learning all the styles she grew the most doing modern and contemporary and decided to continue to learn more about this art form by entering the Utah Valley University modern dance department. Her first year there she was able to fully engage herself into all the classes they offered. In her second year she was accepted onto UVU’s modern dance team “Synergy.” During this time, she was able to learn from some of the most amazing choreographers and teachers! She is so excited to be teaching and can’t wait to share her love of dance with all of you!

Ashlin Peterson

Ashlin has been passionate about dance from a young age and has dedicated her life to the art. She began her training at Synergy Dance Academy and later Empower Dance Academy, where she built a strong foundation in technique and performance across a variety of styles. Ashlin has performed in several prestigious productions showcasing her talent on prominent stages.

She continued her dance journey as a member of the Bingham Minerettes drill team, where she developed advanced skills in team precision and choreography, and also won a state title. One of her proudest achievements was winning a World Championship title as a gold medalist at the ICCU World Championships in 2025. Ashlin is now furthering her training on the pre-professional company Continuum, where she is refining her craft and preparing for a future in the professional dance world. Her love for dance, strong work ethic, and performance experience make her a passionate and inspiring role model for young dancers.

Alexa Depew

Alexa began dancing at age 3 and quickly fell in love with it. She started at Dancemaker Studio where she danced jazz, contemporary, and ballet, including 5 years en pointe. She took a few classes at Quickstep Dance Studio focusing on basic ballroom technique including swing, cha-cha, samba, waltz, rumba, and foxtrot. Alexa has performed in Mountain West Ballet’s Nutcracker several times and has also participated in their spring ballets, Alice in Wonderland being her favorite one. Alexa was on Murray High School’s Drill Team for 3 years where she served as president. When not dancing, Alexa likes to go hiking, watch movies, and is always in the mood to find a new sweet treat. Alexa is so excited to start teaching and can’t wait to meet you and your dancer!

Jersey King

Jersey has been dancing since she was three years old in styles of tap, modern, jazz, ballet and hip hop. She has trained with Utah Dance Artists, Northern California Dance Conservatory and Classical Ballet Conservatory. Jersey studied Modern Dance at the University of Utah for two years. She was a three-year member of Murray Dance Company which allowed her to perform in multiple dance concerts and musicals. She also had the opportunity to choreograph and serve as Vice-president and President of Murray Dance Company. Jersey loves staying active through weight training, reading and cuddling with her dog, Holly. She is so excited to teach at Prodigy and meet new dancers!

Madeleine Buckwalter

Madeleine began her studio dance training with jazz and ballet. From there she went on to perform with a Texas varsity drill team and compete with a local Utah studio. Music festivals introduced her to the commercial dance realm where she developed a passion for freestyle dance. A love for movement inspired her to complete five yoga teacher trainings of different lineages. She is grateful for the opportunities she has had to travel the world using the lens of dance, music, and art to fully feel into her surroundings. Currently, she is pursuing a dance education bachelors degree with an emphasis in cultural dance. Dance academia encourages her to study dance literature and research dance practices. When she’s not dancing she teaches yoga, makes jewelry, and enjoys having fun in the sun.

Mariam Roe

Mariam Roe was born in Utah, where she received her early ballet training.  In 2016, she was accepted to train at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy (The Moscow State Academy of Choreography) in Moscow, Russia.  In 2017, she received the Gilman Scholarship for Study Abroad to study at the Dolgushin School of Classical Ballet as a ballet trainee in St. Petersburg, Russia. In 2019, Mariam received a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree with an emphasis in ballet pedagogy from Southern Utah University. She continued her pedagogical studies with Janet L. Springer at Classical Dance Alliance, where she received certification in the Method of Teaching Classical Dance, Kostrovitskaya/Vaganova Six Year Accelerated Program levels 1, 2, 3 and 4. She also studied the Teaching Method of Classical Ballet, Elementary and Intermediate levels from the late Professor Peggy Willis-Aarnio.
 
Mariam participated and danced in Salt Lake City Ballet’s, Mikhailovsky Workshop and Performance from 2013-2016, taught by dancers of the Mikhailovsky Ballet Company (St. Petersburg, Russia), where she performed the Pas de Six from La Esmeralda with Leonid Kisil, company member of the Mikhailovsky Ballet Company. Mariam participated in the International Youth Ballet Festival and performed at the Gala Performance Concert in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2016 and 2017, held in conjunction with the Oleg Vinogradov Foundation for the Preservation of Classical Ballet, Classical Dance Alliance, and the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov State Ballet Conservatory.  She also participated in Oleg Vinogradov’s Vivat Ballet festival held in Murray, Utah in the summers of 2018 and 2019.

Baylee Singleton

Baylee was on Murray High School’s Drill Team for 4 years where she served as Head Captain. She has been dancing for over a decade, including 3 years of competition. She started out at Starlight Dance Academy before moving to Power Plus Academy, and then Prodigy Dance Academy. Baylee loves racing hurdles, reading gushy romance books and In-N-Out burgers. She can’t wait to meet your dancer and help their love of dance and tumbling grow!

Reagan Anderson

Reagan started dancing when she was 3. She competed in various dance styles at Esteem Dance for 12 years before joining the Murray High School Drill team. She served as Historian and Secretary throughout her three years on the team. Reagan has previously taught dance at other studios and loved it. She loves teaching and can’t wait to be able to join the Prodigy team. She is super excited to get to know the dancers and help them to achieve goals and find their love for dance.
